Most racket covers are an afterthought in nylon. This one is cut from full-grain leather, piped by hand and finished in solid brass. It is made to be seen off the court.
The premise
Padel got elegant everywhere except the bag. Courts moved into hotels and members' clubs, the kit stayed in synthetic black nylon with a printed logo.
Latigo Atelier makes one object and makes it properly. A teardrop cover in full-grain leather, lined in soft brushed cotton, closed with a twin-pull zip and hung from a strap you can actually adjust. It protects the racket. It also looks like something you own on purpose.
The collection
Each run is limited to fifty pieces per colour. When a colour sells through, it rests for a season.
Details
Photographed as delivered. No retouching on the leather, because the grain is the point.
Colour varies slightly between hides. Two covers of the same shade will never be identical, and that is not a fault.
